Welcome to the true Beauty for Ashes experience! Like, quite literally…
‘Cause this is how I imagine the Lord is when dealing with us. Like…. “Why. Why did they do that? Why did they heap all of this mess on themselves and think it was a good idea?!” (See before photo).
It wasn’t a good idea. Definitely wasn’t.
I recruited my little garage minions, (of the cutest variety), to assist in the removal of what could’ve been 800 strategically (and simultaneously haphazardly), placed black cow spots.
The process lifted paint. It gouged into spots. The bolts on the top were loose and worn, causing separation. The hardware was half painted and worn. The paint was oddly peeling with about 2-3 different layers🤦🏾♀️.
I contemplated throwing this away over ten times…simply donating it to the abyss of our neighborhood dumpster day, but the thought of all of hard work these girls put in to it made me finish. To show them there IS indeed beauty from these ashes!
Perfect? Nope. Functional? Yes. Fabulously smooth surfaces? Nope. Sured up and now sturdy? Yes. Discounted? Oh, but YES!
Come take it look! It’s cute. It’s functional. By no means perfect, but by all means adorbs. And portions of the proceeds go towards an ice cream outing for two very sweet little helpers 💕
