This 20-drawer cabinet has earned its wear, marks and imperfections. The stain is simply bringing the wood back to life while keeping the old, primitive character that made us buy the piece in the first place. Think weā€™ll apply a satin finish, new legs and some beautiful hardware.. Stay Tuned

At first glance, it looks like an awesome Gerstner Machinist wooden chestā€¦then you open it. šŸ‘€

The craftsmanship, tiny drawers and years of honest wear are exactly what we hunt for at The Apothecary Workshop.

We prefer the bottoms not be falling out but, pieces like this werenā€™t made to be disposableā€”they were built to work, survive and tell a story.

Too good to leave behind.

Beneath years of wear was a beautiful vintage multi-drawer cabinet waiting to be uncovered. We stripped it back, brought the grain to life, and preserved the character that made it worth saving.

This is the part nobody sees in the finished photos.

Years of paint, finish, scratches and who knows what else have to come off before we can see what weā€™re actually working with.
