Continuing work on repairing this record cabinet from Bittersweet Pines Pre-Owned Furniture & Decor. All the exterior finish is being restored. Also, the cabinet came with lots of shelves but not enough of the removable shelf holders, so I'm making more of them from pine.

This is my first time repairing lacquer. I did not strip the finish. The spots are places where the lacquer was gone. I cleaned the surface with Restor-A-Finish but spots remained. I roughed the surface with steel wool, then sprayed multiple layers of lacquer to build the finish up. Then I used 1000 grit sandpaper all over to level the surface, and a final layer of lacquer. First restoration of 2026...this will be for me. It claims to be a "smoking stand" but it has been re-worked once or twice. I intend to use it as a bedside table. Great find at The Bull Farm Antiques. Notes with each photo.
