"Bonnie Taylor-Talbot's art is about the fairy-tale nature of the ordinary. Her paintings allow us to invite beauty and magic into our lives.

Welcome to the place where the commonplace meets the enchanting, where sunflowers speak Italian and you can have your cake and eat it too, everyday." My work is about layers of acrylic on canvas to achieve ribbons of colour between the objects and then I hand stamp words and phrases to complete the piece. I mix everyday objects with Parisian wrought iron grates, tiaras and crowns, chickens, ball g

owns, the occasional perfume bottle and even chandeliers – all the things that delight me. I often think Matisse is watching over my shoulder. And, like him, the bulk of my work is interior. I enjoy painting chairs, plump pears and buckets of flowers. I attempt daily to share my joy through art. My work is currently showing in
Santa Fe, New Mexico,
California, Washington and Oregon. Prints of my work are available in

Just sent 4 paintings to Convergence Gallery in Santa Fe. The two larger are 30" x 40", the manor and maisonette are 24" x 30". I just want to paint BRIGHT colors.

Roses for My Sister Famous Artist Tracy Taylor
My long stem white roses just came in and I needed to paint them. While doing so, I was remembering when I asked my sister Tracy how to paint roses. We bought a picture book and she said start practicing. Thank you dear sister. I am going to paint these daily and perhaps by the end they will be the white they really are.

Good end of January to you all. In the middle of winter I sometimes get a little gray and I need to remember that there is someone who watches over me and is always with me. And, I am in love with corals and roses. I painted her a couple of weeks ago and want to share her joy.

She twirls until she falls down and giggles

Good morning. It has been too long since I posted. Had a few shows, painted a few more pictures and all of a sudden it feels like fall. We have been buying school items for Parker (my grandson's) kindergarten class.

So, this week I spent time in the studio (supposedly cleaning it) and voila, this painting showed up. I am enjoying the layers. Hope you do to. It is 24 x 36". My name is Bonnie Taylor Talbot and ipaintpictures.

Pretty Pretty Peony
Good Afternoon. Today I am beginning a 15 in 15. Seems a bit more realistic as the weather is so beautiful any given hour of the day. My friend Hailey Leigh came over and we picked a postcard of a painting and painted our own picture. The card is a painting by Raoul Dufy "la vie en rose" 1931. My painting became "pretty pretty peony" 2013. It is 11 x 14 acrylic on canvas.

It is Wednesday and I am almost ready to go to Cannon Beach for the 2013 spring unveiling. I wanted to make a bright splash in Josephine's window so I painted this dress in corals and oranges. It actually makes me want to dance.
