Meeting new dealers in my industry is always fun. To have someone put their trust in you to sell and display their finds is one of my most rewarding experiences. I wouldn't have a store if I didn't have my group of amazing dealer creatives. So let me introduce yet another of those amazing creatives, our dealer, The Glass Addict herself, Justine Dearth
1. What first sparked your love for antiques/vintage finds?
Going to garage sales when I was little
2. What’s one item you've sourced, you’d find hard to part with?
My glass Viking Mushrooms
3. Describe your style as a dealer in three words.
Eclectic
Sentimental
Dreamer
4. What’s the coolest or strangest thing you’ve ever found?
I bought a mixed lot of antique bottles and found an antique brown embossed with the word he**in from when it was used as a medicine.
5. What’s your favorite part about being part of the Moon City Modern family?
I love that it's a community of other treasure hunters that love the same thing that I do. I love being inspired by others, and I love having a good mentorship where I can be myself and not be afraid to ask for advice from anyone. Everyone is so willing to offer advice and lend a hand.
6. If your booth had a theme song, what would it be?
Starman by David Bowie
7. What kind of treasures are you always hunting for?
Anything glass, anything mid century modern, or anything that sparks joy from my childhood.
8. What’s one thing customers might be surprised to learn about you?
I have a sense of humor and sometimes like that to show in my booth displays.
9. Coffee, vinyl, road trips, estate sales… what fuels your treasure hunt life?
Iced caramel macchiatos, some good music to sing along with, and a dream to do this full time so I can spend more time with my family and take care of my dad.
10. What do you hope people feel when they shop your space?
Nostalgia. Joy. Memories. I want them to have memories flood back to them from the past that bring a little smile or even a little tear to the eye .
