"The Warehouse”
We don't have carpet, we don't have comfortable chairs or pews, our lights work when they want to, our toilets work sometimes too. Occasionally foul language can be heard because someone is hurting and that is the way they express it. Our folks are rarely voted the best dressed or the best looking and a few may occasionally show up for worship drunk or high. The behavior is not ig
nored but is addressed as the Lord leads and not a moment before. They are not known for being perfect or beautiful. In some cases they are with us for worship one weekend and we are visiting them in jail the next week. We try to give to anyone as they have need and not to expect Godly behavior from un-Godly people and except people were they are. We tick people off from time to time as I probably just did. But whenever you take a hard stand against sin and for Jesus Christ, people get ticked. The place is almost always a mess because of all the activity. We do things differently than most. Some people think us a cult because we like to meet together more often than one day a week, as in daily, you know, like the Bible says in Acts Two. We don’t pass the plate or beg for money and are almost always behind the 8ball financially but GOD always seems to come through for us. If you worship on Sunday, we may join you from time to time. We really don’t care when you worship, we think you should worship every day. We do choose to gather on the Seventh day, Saturday, but we are not Adventist. We are following our convictions in “Remember the Sabbath day and keep it Holy,” you follow your convictions as you feel led. After all, the main point is Christ and Him crucified. We celebrate Old Testament feasts such as the feast of Trumpets, Atonement, Tabernacles, Chanukah, Passover, and Pentecost according to the lunar calendar not the Georgian Calendar or 12 month calendar. For instance, we celebrate Pentecost on the actual day of Pentecost, not on “Pentecost Sunday”. We do not believe this to be a requirement of salvation but a blessing from God that he set as an everlasting ordinance, as in forever. We choose not to celebrate Christmas or Easter. If you do that is fine and we will not argue over it. Many people who come to The Warehouse celebrate these holidays in their homes and that is their choice. We do not boycott these holidays and once celebrated them ourselves. We just choose not to any more due to our own convictions and trust that everyone else does the same. If you invite us to your house during your Christmas, celebrations we will come and fellowship in the name of JESUS. We choose to celebrate the birth of CHRIST during the feast of Tabernacles and the resurrection of JESUS during Passover. We believe that JESUS CHRIST IS THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE, and no man comes to the father except though HIM. We are not Adventist, though we do have fellowship on Saturdays and some of us even go as far as to start our Sabbath on Friday night with a family Sabbath meal. We are an imperfect people learning how to love the one and only, perfect God. We do not go for titles. Many people call me “Pastor Brent” and that’s OK but I prefer just Brent. Too many times the term “Pastor” comes with a pedestal that no one can stand on for long and it is a long hard fall off of it. Patty and I, Shae’, Nathan, Jacob, Cinda, Stephanie and Paul, are all sinners saved by grace, same as you. We worship as flawed human beings that recognize our need for the blood of CHRIST to cover a multitude of our sins. If no one shows up this Saturday for our worship service, rest assured we will be there giving GOD our love and affection and showing anyone who shows up unconditional love to the best of our ability. Many people have asked what we are all about and this is probably as good an explanation you are going to get on paper. You really have to experience it to understand it and one visit won’t do it justice. As for me and my house…we will serve the LORD. Come serve HIM with us some time! If not...
