Had some fun with an apple tree this weekend and am starting to make some old yet new designs!

Did someone say spoon?

Hey all!! It’s been a minute since I’ve been active online, but it’s finally time that I get back on it.

As for an update on where I’ve been: I worked a crazy busy summer in the mountains of New Hampshire then transitioned right into a program

Now I’m living in Waitsfield, VT designing and building an entire house with the amazing people at Yestermorrow for the fall!

I’m so excited to once again have the energy and inspiration to craft new creations and share them with you all. My past creations are still available on the site if you’re looking for a beautiful utensil to spruce up your cooking.

New spoon drop!

This new batch of versatile cooking spoons is out just in time for last minute Mother’s Day shopping!

I based these spoons off of my need for an everyday cooking and baking spoon. After started to make sourdough and other breads, I realized that I needed a better spoon to combine ingredients. This inspiration brought me to kolrose a wheat stem on the handle of this smaller cooking spoons. To spruce up the design some more, I put a white string sound the top to contrast against the black walnut.

Once I started using this spoon, I found that its usefulness surpassed that of bread-making. This spoon is perfect for any cooking adventure, from stir-fry to scrambled eggs. It can conquer any feat in the kitchen. Along with this, this cooking spoon is much more affordable than the other options!

Squad up

Some of the bestsellers as of late are the smaller eating spoons. They definitely seem to look even better together, the differing colors and designs make choosing one so difficult (so why not get more!). These beauties are perfect for anything from oatmeal to mac&cheese. Go find yourself one of these suckers on the site.

The Cherry Vine

One of the newer releases and probably my favorite new creation. I don’t always pick favorites, but the way that this smaller eating spoon turned out was marvelous. The compilation of sapwood and heartwood throughout the spoon makes a line that draws your eye in. The vine along the handle brings your eyes up the spoon, following the curving nature of the kolrosing design. These artistic qualities combined with the heartier quality of the spoon make it absolutely amazing. I made sure that there is more meat on the intersection between the cup and handle so the chance for snapping on the weak point would go way down. This allows for the user to go a little harder when eating whatever they want with this spoon.

This guy is still up on the site, jump on before someone scoops it up! It makes a great addition to your utensil repertoire, and an even better gift.

New stuff = new pictures of stuff

Went on a little exploration for a new backdrop to showcase my new and old creations. The site will be in a frenzy for the next day as they get uploaded, but everything new and old will be available and out by Friday!

From scoops and butter knives to spatulas and large cooking spoons, there’s something for everyone. If you want an adventuring spoon or something to severely spice up your kitchen get on the site Friday before the goods get picked up.

The warm weather is coming, and so are the spoons!

Got to venture outside for some carving in the wild over the past week and can say that it’s been pretty nice. Without a studio or shop my only place to carve has been in my apparent so getting outside into a freeing work environment has allowed me to get many more spoons made. Along with this it’s allowed me to see the Vermont spring up close and personal. The month is starting to come to a close meaning the April launch is getting closer and closer. You’ll be seeing more spoons with a different kolrosing design and heartier build to them. There may also possibly be new products making their way into the mix as well, so stay tuned!

What a wild trip

Took last week to explore a new country and came back with a rejuvenated spirit. We went to the Chic-Choc National Park and I found the inspiration I needed to keep trucking along. From the beautiful mountainous and foreign land to the inspiring and talented people that journeyed there with me, I’m ready to bring more products out to you all. Get ready for an bigger April launch!

The Scooping Vine

A slightly newer design is starting to accumulate and is based on the kolrosing on the handle. The vine climbs up the handle sprouting leaves accentuating the grain structure on the thinnest section of the spoon.

This spoon mimics the earlier structure of the smaller scoops with a heartier cup to prevent any cracking or splitting. Along with this, the handle has thicker base to it to allow for a more aggressive scoop.
