Okay… I may have gone a little overboard on butcher block 😅

I’ve got a stack of solid butcher block tops in stock and ready to turn into custom pieces — desks, coffee tables, workbenches, console tables, kitchen islands, shelves, or whatever odd space in your house needs the perfect fit.

Finished coffee table build.

This piece has a clean birch butcher-block style top, solid wood base, oak dowels through half-laps, lower storage shelf, rounded edges, and hand-cut joinery details throughout the frame.

Built to be functional, sturdy, and simple enough to fit into a living room without looking overdone.

Decided to recycle an old coffee table-top of ours and made a new base for it.

I had to flip the design around a few times during the build, but I wanted to keep things simple and minimal, but keep it sturdy.

Turned out fantastic. Let me know what you think!

Buying cedar is wonderful. You truely have no idea how it’s going to look when it’s rough until after you’ve taken it home and planed it down smooth.

Lately I’ve been buying more than I need for a project, just in case I get unique pieces like these, so I can horde them for a specific look on a future project.

This video shows two cedar boards prior to planing, and the ones next to it showing what’s revealed after.
