Life is finally starting to slow down at J&J Reclaimed so hopefully I’ll be posting more pics of completed projects and items for sale. I’ve had my fill of long work hours and family members passing on and hopefully I’m done with all of it. Here are the final pictures. This French provincial set was the customer’s set when she was a kid. She wanted to me refinish it for her daughter that she is currently pregnant with. They were an off white with a gold trim line similar to all the other French provincial pieces that are out there. I think they look so much better!

This is a project I finished this fall up as a wedding present for some good friends that got married in October. This is a bar height pub table that is made from up-cycled materials for their basement entertainment area. The tops is one end of a wire spool and the center post is 2 pieces of an old barn beam sandwiched together to make 6x6 post. The foot rest is made from black gas pipe.

I keep getting messages from Facebook telling me that everyone who follows my page (thank you all, btw) haven’t heard from me in a while. Sometimes you have plans all set and things work out like you expect. Other times, God steps in and gives you floods and tornadoes about 3 weeks apart. This summer has been a hectic one, but the dry sink is finally finished. It was fully stripped and repainted. The old nickel top was broken and some of it was missing. It was removed and replaced with wood planks that were stained and topped with High Performance Top Coat. I had to remove the trim around the top edge to get all of the nickel, so that was also replaced. I wanted to reuse the old hardware but it was in rough shape and was not able to be saved.

Locaion: Bondurant City Park
Event: Fundraising event for the flood and tornado victims in Bondurant. This will entail live music, silent auction, food & drink available, bags tournament, as well as a bounce house!

I absolutely love how this turned out. The original finish was kind of a blonde oak which was pretty dated. I painted it with Annie Sloan “Pure White” and clear waxed sealed it. I added a light layer of black wax to give it an aged but modern look. I painted the hardware with a hammered oil rubbed bronze to finish the look.

Here it is! This was originally a Victor Electrola radio that was built in 1929-1930 range. The electronics had already been stripped when I got it and the front had been cut open. There was what looked to be water damage so some of the veneer was peeling. I took that and ran with it and decided to go with a distressed look. I built and added the wine storage and added the racks for the stemware. I also built in a shelf and lined it with felt for additional storage under the cabinet lid. It’s perfect for mule mugs, rocks glasses, and any other bar accessories. The middle shelf is perfect for storing all of your favorite liquor bottles. I think this is one of the coolest projects I have ever made. 😍❤️

The exterior has been painted, distressed, and clear waxed. Now to work on the interior. 🤔🤫
