✨ A rainy long weekend feels like a very good excuse for a new book and a candle.

I’ll be in the shop today from 12:15-3 and would love to see you, so if you are out and about, come say hi!.

Fall scents are coming to the shop next week, but I’ve got a couple deals for you this weekend to help make your life cozier in the meantime:

I’ve got a couple copies in the shop. If you want to try it out for yourself I bet you won’t be able to put it down and I’ll help you find the best candle pairing!

✨ Pick your pumpkin. Pick your scent. 🎃🍂

The En Light pumpkin patch is open for preorders!

The shop is closed today, but I couldn’t resist giving you an early shot at this year’s fall candles — and this time, you get to build your own.

Choose your pumpkin:

🤎 Amber Glass Pumpkin — $42.50
🤍 Cream Ceramic Pumpkin + Gold Lid — $58.50

Then choose what goes inside:

🍎 Apple Orchard — apple cider, cinnamon + clove
🎃 Hello Fall — pumpkin, cinnamon, clove + nutmeg
🌙 Harvest Moon — apple, cranberry, warm spices + cedarwood
🤎 Vanilla + Oak — vanilla, oak + amber

Not feeling pumpkin-shaped? You can also preorder any of the four fall scents in our classic 8 oz amber jars for $25.

Everything will be poured to order in small batches, and I’ll let you know as soon as yours is ready for pickup or shipping.

Quantities of the pumpkin vessels are limited, so once the patch is picked over, that’s it. 😉

Apparently I’m officially ready for fall. Give me a cozy sweater, football, a Gilmore Girls rewatch, something warm to drink, and one of these burning on the coffee table and I’m pretty sure I don’t need to leave the house until November (except, apparently, for ALL the soccer and football games 😂). 🍂

✨📚Ever get completely obsessed with something and just have to bury yourself in it (even when you should definitely be doing something else)?

Well, I should be finishing our book club book this week, but instead I’ve been madly tearing through The Unselected Journals of Emma M. Lion series by Beth Brower.

They are full of wit and humor, but also very real, very tough stuff. Wonderful characters, London in the 1880s, friendship, found family, heartbreak, ridiculous situations—and just everything I apparently didn’t know I needed in a book right now.

Oops, I read all eight.

So now, obviously, we need to see about getting these into the shop. :)

In the meantime, Sunlight—an airy, green and illuminating scent—has been the perfect candle companion while I’ve been completely ignoring everything else I’m supposed to be reading. And luckily, I have lots of Sunlight available in the shop.

I’ll be posting photos and videos of sale candles with the available quantities and prices. Here’s how to claim:

• First message gets first dibs! Send me a DM with:
— What you want + quantity
— Your email address
— PICKUP or SHIP
— If shipping, your mailing address

• I’ll reply “Got it!” to confirm that you’re first in line for those items, then I’ll email you an invoice.

• Invoices must be paid within ONE HOUR of being sent. If payment isn’t received within the hour, the item will be released to the next person in line.

• If I’m in a meeting, away from my phone, or otherwise unavailable, don’t panic if you don’t immediately get a “Got it!” I’ll go through messages in the exact order they were received as soon as I’m available.

PICKUP:
Choose pickup and get an additional $3 OFF your order! I’ll message you when your order is ready for pickup — most orders should be ready beginning tomorrow.

SHIPPING:
$7 flat-rate shipping. Please include your mailing address with your claim. Shipped orders will head out midweek this week.

✨ August Book Bundle 🌿📚

This month we’re reading Vigil by George Saunders — a strange, funny, dark and wildly imaginative story about life, death, regret, greed, the natural world…and what happens when it’s finally time to reckon with the life you’ve lived.
Sometimes it’s hard for me to figure out the right candle to pair with a book, but I knew right away that this one had to be Outside.

Fresh grass, sage & moss — clean, green and earthy, like sitting on a blanket in the grass and whiling away the hours. For a book so deeply concerned with what we do to this world while we’re here, a candle that smells like stepping out into it felt just right.

Our limited-edition August scent, Sel de Mer, is poured in either a white iridescent or blush iridescent 9 oz tumbler. Think lounging on a Mediterranean beach: salty sea air, sun-warmed skin, and that mineral-rich coastal scent. Sea salt is layered with cardamom and orange peel for a fresh, complex beachy fragrance that isn’t overly sweet.

And the tumblers? Gorgeous and understated, while still being just a little bit extra.

✨Well, hello there :)

There’s nothing like a long time away to remind you how much you love home.

I left our sweet harbor for a few wonderful weeks in New York walking everywhere, eating so, so much, seeing everything with my sis and Kate and Brian and Max, laughing a lot, and just living life. (Side note: have I officially adapted to city life if I’ve walked down the street in broad daylight sobbing my eyes out and not caring if someone saw? And side side note, next year, when college drop off comes for my girl-if you know me, you might want to avoid me 😭 the mini practice round was rough) I also apparently forgot Instagram existed!

It was such a good trip. And now I’m very happy to be home, back in the Harbor, and back to En Light.

I’ll be in the shop today, settling back in, lighting candles, and catching up on all the things I’ve missed.

I had to add a few fav photos from New York to memorialize it but now I’m right back where I belong. (The shop’s looking so cute…swipe to the end to remember what she looks like 😂).

✨The shop got a little summer refresh, and I have to say… she’s looking pretty cute. ☀️🌿

The shelves are stocked with your favorite summer scents (including the return of Beach Day 🌊), so many good books are waiting to be discovered, and there are lots of new little treasures tucked throughout the shop.

If you’re out wandering downtown Gig Harbor today, come say hi! I’ll be here from 11-3ish.

A quick heads up, too: we’ll be closed Sunday and our shop hours will be a little sporadic over the next couple of weeks while our family is away. Anytime we’re open, I’ll be sure to post here so you’ll know! We’ll be back to our regular hours in August.
