✨I’ve been counting down the days until I could return to the haunting world of Lady Tremaine, and today’s the perfect day-sunshine, a little breeze, wafts of garden flowers.

I read Lady Tremaine this winter and absolutely loved it.

It’s atmospheric and immersive, with crumbling manor houses, deep forests, royal intrigue, and one unforgettable peregrine falcon. But what really stayed with me was the way the author writes every character with such empathy. What could have been a simple fairytale retelling becomes a much richer story about power, patriarchy, motherhood, survival, and the stories we tell about women.

And if you’ve spent any time here, you know I love me the books, the forest, birds, and strong female characters.

I can’t wait to revisit this one with book club and hear everyone’s thoughts. 🤍📚🌿

May’s book was Yesteryear, and it gave us a lot to talk about- what a twisty, turny, funny, disturbing and well-written book it was. Almost 6 years of book club and somehow it just keeps getting better.

A little unexpected change of plans — the shop will be closed today 🤍

In the meantime, I’ll just leave these cheerful summer fruit candles here because they feel like pure sunshine to me lately 🍓🍋🍊🫐

A quiet little corner of Gig Harbor ✨

Some days I still can’t believe this tiny shop exists. It’s become such a sweet space for candles, books, laughing, thoughtful gifts, conversations, and small moments of joy — exactly what I hoped for when I started En Light years ago.

The shop is closed today, but I’ll be back open Sunday from 11–3. Until then, you can always shop online, message me for porch pickup, or just enjoy this peaceful little corner with me 🤍

I’m trying to get better about sharing the everyday magic around here — the candles people are loving, little gifts being picked up, books being chosen, and the cozy corners that make this tiny shop feel special. Farmstand Produce is here 🍓🍋🍊🫐

Our early summer candle collection is available in two sizes — and honestly, I can’t decide which I love more.

The large jars ($30) are covered in the sweetest full-wrap fruit illustrations inspired by vintage produce packaging and summer farmers markets. The smaller tumblers ($25) are simple and classic with a single coordinating illustration on the front.

Scents available:
• Fresh Strawberry
• Lemon Crème
• Bright Orange
• Blueberry Muffin

These are bright, happy, summery scents made for kitchen counters, slow mornings, open windows, and pretending your life is organized enough to have fresh fruit in a ceramic bowl at all times ☀️

They also pair perfectly with our May Book Bundle pick, Yesteryear — and we still have a few copies of the book available in the shop if you want to make a cozy little bundle of it 📚✨
