Another custom project completed ✔️

This home originally had a large cased opening into the living room. With more people working from home, the homeowners needed a dedicated office space they could close off when needed — without losing natural light.

I installed a set of custom French doors and added a transom above to maintain the original opening height while keeping the door units a standard size. This approach keeps the look balanced and uniform — and helps keep costs down compared to a full custom oversized door build.

Now they have privacy when they need it, light when they want it, and a space that feels intentional and built-in.

This island was designed for serious storage and everyday function:

✔️ Two full-size cabinet compartments per side

The current top is a temporary work surface while we wait for the custom stone countertop to come in — but even now, you can see how this piece anchors the whole kitchen.

This custom pantry was designed to maximize every inch of space while giving a clear, full view of everything inside. It features nine full-extension slide-out drawers, so nothing gets lost in the back.

• Extra-deep drawers at the bottom for bulky items

• Door-mounted storage with three spice drawers, each holding approximately 16–20 spice containers (depending on size)

Kreative Pet Klips in Sugar Land, TX commissioned RAW to design and build this chair for their Christmas pet photo-shoots — and the client and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out! From just a few pictures, Rise Again Woodcrafts designed the wood structure, giving the chair its sturdy and festive form. Then the wonderful team at ABC Custom Upholstery in Stafford, TX worked magic with the upholstery and really brought the chair to life with plush comfort and Christmas-ready style.

This project was a pleasure to build.
If you’ve ever seen the animated version of The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, you might recognize this piece — it’s a replica of the Grinch’s iconic chair.

The client provided only a picture for reference, so this piece was built entirely without plans. My client creates Grinch-themed photo sessions each holiday season and wanted this chair to complete the set. It’s now headed to the upholsterer, where it will be finished in rich red leather. I’m looking forward to seeing the completed piece take its place in the festive scene.
