Yaw Craftworks History...
From the first lego set I put together as a kid to now, I have always been drawn to building projects. I grew up observing two very gifted craftsman grandfathers, both of whom are strong christian men and both of whom I am proudly named after. Kenneth James Yaw, my Dad’s dad, was a very skilled stained glass hobbyist. His sharp wit and creativity was something I have always admired. The company name is dedicated in honor of his life and legacy as a man of great character. Robert Craig, my Mom’s dad, is a jack of all trades, who has taught me countless life lessons through trips to split firewood and on the golf course. His work ethic and unconditional love for both family or stranger (no such thing as a stranger to him), has inspired me every step of the way. Another key influencer is Kenneth Bradley Yaw, my Dad. He has always been a skilled leader, and a decision maker. I have always admired and learned from his confidence and the way he boldly takes on leadership roles. Aside from these three men, God has put some of the most positive of influences on my life through my relationships with my parents, my wife, siblings, mentors, and friends. Life experiences have also been a major influence. I have spent 20 years building churches on the Navajo Reservation and worked about 15 years in the manufacturing and construction industries. All of these pieces of my life have led me to starting Yaw Craftworks.
