Wrapping up a Pink Cowl for a client. It almost makes your eyes bleed it's so bright!!
The nice thing about the lighter color is that you can better see all the work Lynne puts in on the sewing fabrication.

Sporting his new "Purrfect Crime" cowl and belt boxes. The cowl has the extended ear finishing seen only in the first season. The boxes are painted wood and a bit thicker than the later belt boxes.

Meanwhile, back in the Batcave....

I finally have my own "Purrfect Crime Cowl" !

This is my favorite cowl paint style from the first season and it is used in most of my favorite episodes.

The ear paint of the first season cowls is extended beyond the bottom of the ear, I suppose, to camouflage the seam where the ear meets the side of the cowl. It was only moderately successful but confused the heck out of me trying to figure out what I was seeing.
Decades later I was lucky enough (Thanks Stewart) to see this actual cowl cover prior to it being auctioned. The paint on the ear had flaked off and I could see that they used a piece of silk organza, a super thin but strong fabric, glued over the seam joint to help blend it into the side of the cowl prior to painting.

So , of course I had to do the same...

The family of Adam West is inviting everyone to a pop up exhibition!

Holy hometown tribute!

We’re thrilled to share that the City of Ketchum and the Sun Valley Museum of Art are honoring Adam West with a special pop-up exhibition celebrating 60 years of Batman and the remarkable life and career of the man behind the cowl.

The exhibition opens with a celebration on June 30 and runs through August 14th in Ketchum, Idaho, the place Adam proudly called home.
