My first 45....

...that I remember asking for my mom to buy me was Simon and Garfunkel’s “ Bridge over troubled water”. It was early 1970, I was like 3 years old. I remember the store (Arlans at Manor shopping center). I still have that same record, and it's on Columbia Label. I have always been intrigued with how music was produced by a diamond stylus and vinyl or polystyrene records. I have been buying and collecting records ever since. I have over 5,000 45 rpm records, plus 1,000 or more of the LPs.

May 1988 was my very first dj gig to share and play records to car enthusiasts at a Nova National Show in York, PA. My system was a BSR /Fisher MC-4040 that was a Christmas gift from my dad in 1980. I was hooked! People came up to me, gave me great compliments on my music selection and how does a 21 year old kid have such great taste in music? The answer was easy: I am passionate about music that you can just tell the artists who sang and performed the songs really loved what they did. The music from the 1950s thru the 1980s was the best decades of music.

My goal 30 years later has been met. I've established myself as a Disc Jockey that truly loves his records and will continue to share it with people who have great taste in music and enjoy hearing it being played like it should......on vinyl.
