Our Purpose:
Have unwanted household items and furniture that you want to get rid of but can't find the time to get it out of your house? We've been there, and we want to help.
We will pick up your used accesories, working household appliances and furniture, and take it away to be cleaned up and donated. We will not take trash or non-working appliances/electronics. We are happy to share rugs, frames, mirrors and decorative wall hangings. We do not take clothing at this time, but happily accept bedding, towels, potholders and kitchen towels. Yard furniture, planting pots are great, as well as plants already potted and crafting supplies and instructions, books, journals and writing utensils. Bookshelves are nice, and in some cases, toys.
We work closely with several parishes and charities and will lovingly clean, separate and donate your donations.
When we began this venture, we wanted to provide direct assistance to women in crisis, or leaving crisis situations into new, safe housing, and especially to encourage those who received crisis housing and counseling services at the point where they left shelter to begin life on their own.
You can imagine that the women who have been receiving services and counselling are riding on a pink cloud, having for weeks, and in some cases, even months, been daily recipients of encouragement, counseling, legal help, and one on one care. But, there is always an end, and a point where the next step has to occur. This is where we step in and provide assistance with referrals, furniture, appliances, cleaning and paper supplies, beds, when available, anything that we have. available to help them transition.
**If we have an excess, we can and will post for sale to allow for the.funds to purchase cleaning and paper supplies and assist with start up costs.**
