Yep I said it…. antiquing in France made me appreciate sourcing in the US even more. 🤍

Don’t get me wrong… France was absolutely incredible and inspiring in every way. The markets, the history, the tiny villages, the centuries old pottery sitting casually on tables… it truly felt magical.

But what people don’t always see is the exhausting part too.

The hauling boxes through train stations. The shipping stress. Trying to navigate another language while figuring out logistics. Wrapping fragile antiques on apartment floors at midnight. Paying overweight baggage fees. Realizing every single piece has to somehow make it safely across an ocean.

And honestly? Coming home made me realize how lucky we are to have estate sales, flea markets, antique malls, thrift stores, and Facebook Marketplace so accessible here in the US.

France inspired me deeply… but it also reminded me that beautiful, meaningful antiques exist everywhere. The magic is really in learning how to see them.

Don’t get me wrong are European antiques hard to find in the US? Absolutely. But it’s not impossible and for that I’m grateful 🥲

Now excuse me while I romanticize BOTH. 😂

This was my first time out of the country so
my future international sourcing trips will be looking very different from this one. I got to just be a tourist the last couple days & it helped me slow down & really just be so grateful to have gotten to experience this. I can’t wait to bring back these treasures for you guys!!🫶🏼
