I finally jumped on the bandwagon, and tried something new. I used pole wrap, and cement glue to attach to the drawer fronts.

My local fusion seller was out of Woodwick, so I mixed up some paint I had on hand to get as close to that tone. Added Van D**e Brown to my Polyurethane both by to give it some warmth. I’m very happy with how these turned out.

These nightstands were a thrift find that I knew had potential. Cut the original bottoms off, and built new bases out of oak (which I am totally impressed with quality of their oak selection).

Primed and painted using my 5700, custom mix of Shiitake and Van D**e Brown (2:1.5 parts) in their Gallery Series Formula of course.

Grand Rapid Chair Co, Early Elizabethan | Jacobean Buffet dated back to the 1920’s.

My inspiration was from Jen at .and.oak.refinishing , when she did a similar piece. When I got to the finishing part, I was fighting the red tones of the oak. I ended up mixing Van D**e Brown Glaze into my poly to help tone the red down, and just rolled with it. I’m not even mad with how it came out, even though this was not the color I originally wanted. Blood, sweat, and tears. Literally.

This one is a funny one, I seen this cabinet sitting on the side of the road when I was on my way to have lunch with my husband while he was at work. I was in my jeep with no way to transport it, but was fearful it would be gone by the time I went back home to get the truck. We live about 25+ minutes away. I managed to load it into the back of my jeep, and had it resting on my swing tailgate and out the back window. I would do it again, to score another piece that has potential. 🫶🏻

This cabinet was a leftover estate sale curbside find. Painted in a custom mix of Tricorn Black and Van D**e Brown 2:1 parts, in my trusty Gallery Series Paint.

These Ethan Allen maple nightstands were found while I was out and about thrifting, they were pretty neglected but had so much potential.

As I was trying to come up with a plan, posted about this color. It was so similar to what I had in mind.

Still Water.

Cut off existing bases and built new bases, I truly believe these are the smallest bases I have built so far. ✨
