Made an anchor as a gift for a Coast Guard member graduating CCTI and becoming a Chief. I used a real chain to wrap around rather than trying to make one out of wood. Overall I'm very happy with how it turned out, and the new Chief loved the gift.

Finishing up a fresh batch of cutting boards and I am wondering what type of branding people prefer more? A brand on the flat surface of the board (front or back side) or a branding on the edge?

Comment below what style of branding you like better.

Recently went through a move across the country. Getting my shop set up again. (Lots of work needs to be done). In the mean time I received an order for a cutting board made of maple, purple heart, and red heart, with a juice groove, and feet. I think it turned out nicely.

Finished the project I teased a couple days ago. It was the headboard to a new bed. nice job guessing that correctly. Bed is mostly made out of pine to keep coat down, but the headboard is a combination of maple, walnut, purple heart, red heart, yellow heart, paduk, ash, and hickory. I love how it turned out. Time for a nice nap 😴

I was recently commissioned to build a set of bar cabinets. The top was made of hickory and made to look like one continuous piece when placed next to each other. The doors are book-matched ash. The cabinet will hold 35 hanging wine glasses, and has full extension drawer slides with soft close doors. Lighting always makes things better.

Little behind the scenes work flow. I'm currently working on a custom ordered liquor / wine cabinet. The cabinet is going to have an area to hang wine glasses in it. This was the assembly of the "hangers". Measuring an exact distance repeatedly is difficult and time consuming. So I made a stop block to get the exact same spacing between everything. Measuring is overrated.

The Holidays are right around the corner. Enjoying playing some cribbage infront on the fire with wine on hand. I love going to the local hardwood store to restock inventory. They have a lot of different woods you can not get at the big box stores like purple heart, zebra wood, and of course love edge slabs. The staff is also super friendly. I ended up getting a lot of maple, ash, hickory, and cherry wood. The view out the mirror was a bit distracting driving home.

Decided it was time to upgrade our dining room table. There was nothing wrong with our old table, but I had a slab of live edge spalted maple on hand and wanted to make it into a river table. This was my first time working with Epoxy Resin. Finished it with pure. I think the table turned out looking real nice.

I decided to make my wife a cutting board for her birthday. It needed to be unique thought. I saw make a really cool "weaved" cutting board and thought I would give it a try. I really like the way it turned out. She was also very happy with the end result.
