Today marks the final day(s) of working on the epoxy river table so I am reserving the good photos until after delivery has taken place. Seeing this first-hand is greater than I’m capable of capturing through photos. The first coat of finishing oil & wax went on this morning and the instant change is absolutely incredible! After delivery I will post all the photos, videos, and time-lapse video I have taken to tell the whole journey. This is a long process and it is important to get it done correctly, especially after so many setbacks that could have forced me to rush to make the deadline.

Lots of progress was made today. Buying the right tool for the job made all the difference, and even though waiting for replacement parts took a long time it made a significant difference in overall production speed and safety. It will be full speed (basically 1”/ second) from here on. Nothing is fast in the world.

The epoxy for the river tabletop is nearly fully hardened. Should begin the finishing work this weekend, or early next week. Removed the clamps to get a good look at how well the epoxy and color looks. Appears to have complete adhesion with the wood, and zero leaks or hot spots. ❤️

Sneak preview of my current river epoxy table project. Prep work is a big portion of making sure these types of projects go well, and with 6 gallons of epoxy being used it’s important to spend the time now to ensure it goes as expected. Completed a laundry room build this week. Made custom maple cabinets, one with deep drawers and the other completely open. Finished them off with color matched trim and walnut countertops. Added small shelves to the back for extra storage and to hide the water valves. This was a lot of fun to build, and learned a lot about working in small spaces.
