My first “regular product” is now available on our website www.hopsgrainwoodsmyth.com. This solid hardwood cutting board made with sugar maple and walnut - known as “The Daily” - is ready for daily use and abuse. I have a dozen made and ready to send!!

This past week I had an opportunity to check out Hudock's Hardwoods(Hudock's Hardwoods & Sawmill). It was supposed to be an exploration trip but after being greeted by Dan Hudock, shown around and chatting about a wide range of topics for probably an hour, I couldn't help but come home with some wood too - but that will be for a future post.

Dan's a super friendly guy with a wealth of knowledge spanning the various woods he has in stock, his milling and kiln process or even the super cool old creamery building that houses his operations. I'll definitely be keeping him in mind for future projects.

While I was there I took a handful of pictures of what he had in stock and offered to post/tag him, so take a gander and consider stopping by and checking him out!

Wrapped up a pair of Adirondack chairs this week and delivered them yesterday. The clients love them and I think the extra time and effort to hide nearly all the screws just sets them off!

This weekend a matching pair of cedar garden boxes were finished per the customer spec and delivered. Ultimately they’ll be used to grow bamboo as a bit of a privacy screen between the patio and neighbors driveway. I think they turned out great, what about you?

Playing around with the CNC and came up with this AWESOME lego-inspired sign for the kiddo’s room. Paired with a bit of hand-painting from my talented wife, I think it came out okay! What are your thoughts?
