Growing up in Philadelphia and attending college in rural Kutztown, Pennsylvania, I have an appreciation for both industrial and organic aesthetics. I use a variety of natural and synthetic materials including wood, metal, leather, and plastic. My designs are the products of more than a decade of studying engineering, blacksmithing, and woodworking. In my work, I aim to bridge the gap between the
objectivity of the industrial world and the intimacy of the home. By combining design elements from machinery and modern engineering with traditional woodworking and a warm palette of colors, my furniture is both minimal and inviting. I believe a successful design fulfills a specific purpose and brings pleasure to its owner.
