The unfortunate truth of owning and running a business. Running a business is really hard.!!🤯
Starting up and running a successful business puts incredible strain on personal lives and relationships with your family and friends! We are all learning as you you go , and how to balance a work life and have time for your clients, ur family and friends!
We came home to not work as much and i swear we work 3 times as hard as we did out on the road! It’s hard to remember events when your schedule is slammed all day and drag in tired from the days work, so i miss a lot of social events
what is never talked about and should be more, is that it can cause severe stress and anxiety, and drains you mentally😩🥺! Then just for a bonus, add trying to still have a normal life & trying to help your family from a health scare living 2 hours away.
You need to be the director, the worker, the admin, the marketing team, the accountant, the cleaner..... All whilst being a wife, family support, a friend, a devoted daughter, a sister, it’s one of the hardest things you will try and balance!
You have to worry about if you forget to email/message someone back, are they going to think it was on purpose? Did you disappoint them? Will they hold that against you? When in reality you just can’t get to everyone’s messages and emails every second, as most days I’m putting in 10-12 hours days and coming home at 7/8pm.
There’s a reason you don’t see many people succeed in small businesses after 5 years. If they are successful they are OVERWHELMED. It takes a toll. It’s freaking exhausting. Especially the past year when so much has been out of our control.
Here’s a small reminder that we are just normal people with HECTIC lives. ☺️
So Be kind, be patient, especially to the ones who is also dealing with family stickiness & their own health issues!
support small businesses they have sacrificed a lot to just hold their head above water and hopefully more of us will stick around!
