Who remembers this guy? Swipe to see the before. Who doesn’t love a pop of color ? Newly refinished antique buffet. We started this off by sanding the top and bottoms down. Painting the middle section a dark teal. Added antique wax to it. Stained the top. And papered the drawer sides. The top two drawers are lined with blue velvet. This handsome guy is all set and ready for his new home.

Attending our first estate sale we came across this cool piece ! Called “Evening at the Tetons” by Eober Wood. This is one of his more famous pictures and prints and is a favorite of American art collectors. Born in 1889, on the Kentish Coast of England . Later moving to the states he had two homes one in Laguna Beach California, and the other in Woodstock, NY. Known as an American landscape artist his work can be seen in 50 states making him the most widely reproduced painters in the history of art. Robert passed on March 14, 1979 at the age of 90.

This print has an awesome backing as well. No we did not open the back of the painting. We acquired it like this…..
The Illinois Moulding Company used news paper from the Chicago Daily Tribune dated May 30, 1960 where a few titles ring true of the times from way back when.

Thank you so much for allowing us the opportunity to work on a family heirloom! This kitchen set received a handsome glow up. Table top was. Sanded and re-stained. Chairs and base were colored in a stunning ink well color. And the seats were reupholstered with a beautiful geometric pattern . Swipe to see the before pictures! Leaf was removed for space sizing .
