CAPES Cosplayers Alliance for the Prevention and Extermination of Suffering

Everyone can be a hero. Basically, we wanted the initials to spell CAPES. Why?

CAPES: Cosplayers Alliance for the Prevention and Elimination of Suffering. Because we can ALL be heroes. This is a little idea I had after the first Jedi Elvis benefit concert. Part of what makes people come to Cons is to see Cosplay. Well now, we're making that work for us. Our inaugural booth will be at Long Beach Comic Con, where some of your favorite and/or up and coming cosplayers and cospla

y groups such as Smile-X Villain Co. will be spending a bit of time at the booth for people to come by, meet and of course, snap some pics against our professional photographers background. No more photobombs and shoppers in the background! You'll also get to meet fantastic photographers like Eric Anderson Photography and the camera skills of Dave Lucchesi who are donating their time to take pictures of the fans with the cosplayers currently hanging out at the booth. How does this help?, you ask. Well, while you're visiting your favorite cosplayer, you can take a moment to consider donating anything you want to St Jude's, or one of the charities we'll be supporting at our table. San Diego Comic Con had near 200,000 attendees this year. What if we could get $1 from each one of those people, for charity? I've long held the belief that everyone WANTS to help. They just need a way to do it. Welcome to CAPES, where YOU'RE the hero.

It is with an incredibly heavy heart that I share with you our beloved Penguin, my partner in crime, the mastermind behind CAPES, has passed from this life into the next.

He was an amazing cosplayer, and even more so, an amazing, fierce, friend. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.

Sleep with the angels, my friend! Until we meet again!

Hi, This is Eric Anderson Photographic, I was wondering if there is any meetup info for Comic Con. A friend was asking me about it today and I thought this would be the place to ask.
