All pieces have individual spaces in this travel chess set so they don't make too much sound while moving around. This also helps with not losing any piece after a game. You can see the size of this 8" set compared to our 18" marble set on the 3rd photo.

Chess pieces are hand casted in concrete. We try to get rid of as many bubbles as possible during casting but with concrete it's almost impossible to get rid all of them. But it's also what makes concrete products extremely unique!

We wanted to share the desk setup where most of our products come to life. Keeping the creativity going for 24/7 is impossible but if you surround yourself with things that you like and respect, they might fuel you up.

The desk is an easy IKEA hack, a Malm dresser with 3 drawers taken out. A poster of Dieter Rams’ 10 Principles is on the wall. Most of the things in this setup are custom products.

We are launching a new chess set with our popular, modern chess pieces and a brand new board! This has been on our minds for a long time because this is such a unique material and it looks so cool.

We are trying to move towards more environmentally friendly materials. We want to use this material with a felt-like finish that is made from 100% PET plastic, with at least 60% recycled content. It's hard and durable. It has a lot of nice color choices too! This new material is one of the first materials we chose to make PLA Concept more sustainable.
