This exceptional Mira Nakashima “Minguren I” Coffee Table represents the enduring legacy of Nakashima Studio in New Hope, Pennsylvania — a direct continuation of the celebrated Studio Craft tradition founded by George Nakashima and carried forward by his daughter, master woodworker Mira Nakashima (American, b. 1942).

Handmade from a single free-form English walnut slab and supported by a sculptural black walnut Minguren pedestal base, this table exemplifies the poetic harmony between nature, craftsmanship, and architectural form that defines Nakashima furniture.

A rare and striking example of Arne Vodder’s celebrated cabinet designs, this credenza showcases his distinctive sculptural drawer fronts in a highly sought-after rosewood variant. Most known versions were produced in teak; finding one in richly figured Brazilian rosewood places this piece in a far more scarce tier of Vodder’s work. The wood grain displays deep warmth and a beautiful natural chatoyance, contrasted by the joyful interiors of the drawers in alternating blue and white.

The painted drawer interiors were not merely decorative. Danish designers in the mid-century era intentionally used color to brighten interiors during the long, dim Scandinavian winters, bringing a sense of energy, optimism, and lightness into the home. Here, the soft blue and crisp white play off the organic rosewood, creating a visual rhythm that is both serene and sculptural.

Behind the sliding cabinet doors is generous storage with adjustable shelving, making the piece as functional as it is elegant. The tapering legs and clean case proportions demonstrate Vodder’s unmistakable balance of simplicity and artistry.

Alexander Girard, alongside legends like Charles and Ray Eames and George Nelson, redefined postwar American design. While his peers often leaned into the austere, Girard brought the soul—infusing Modernism with a playful sense of color, texture, and pattern. Famous for his textiles designs, Girard also designed a small range of furniture for Herman Miller and Braniff Airways which was produced for only a short time.

This original side table is a stunning testament to that creative exuberance. Custom-designed for Braniff International Airways, this isn’t just a piece of furniture; it’s a fragment of aviation and design history. Rare piece of Herman Miller history often seen only in museum collections.

A beautiful and authentic pair of Hans J. Wegner CH22 lounge chairs, designed in 1950 for Carl Hansen & Søn — one of Wegner’s earliest lounge chair designs and a cornerstone of Danish Modern craftsmanship. Both chairs come from the same original household and present as a thoughtfully matched pair with unique historical character.

Crafted in solid oak with Wegner’s characteristic sculpted armrests and elegant, organic backrest, the chairs showcase the designer’s mastery of proportion, joinery, and tactile form. Each chair is newly restored and new hand-woven paper cord seats, true to original specification.

One chair features an early production burn-mark stamp beneath the arm, indicating its first-generation manufacture. The second chair is an authentic later / 2nd-generation example that originally carried factory stickers, now lost over time — a common occurrence in mid-century Danish seating. Together, they represent the subtle evolution of early CH22 production while maintaining visual harmony as a pair.

William Hinn Sculpted Walnut 8-Drawer Dresser – Made in Sweden, c. 1950s

This pieces is in the process of being restored and should be ready within the next 2 weeks.

A sculptural masterpiece from Swedish-American designer William Hinn, this rare 8-drawer dresser is a standout example of mid-century modern design at its most refined. Made in Sweden in the 1950s, this piece showcases Hinn’s signature biomorphic lines, impeccable proportions, and exceptional craftsmanship.

The dresser is constructed from richly figured walnut with deep, flowing grain patterns across the drawer fronts that are visually seamless and warmly organic. Its subtly bowed profile, integrated drawer pulls, and contoured legs reflect Hinn’s innovative approach to form, giving the piece a striking sense of movement and balance. The long, tapered legs elevate the case, creating a floating effect that enhances its lightness and elegance.

This design is often misattributed to Edmond Spence — a mark of how influential and distinctive Hinn’s aesthetic truly was. Stamped MADE IN SWEDEN on the back of the case,

this is an authenticated example of one of the rarest expressions of Swedish Mid-Century Modernism available on the market today.

Few pieces of furniture define modern design as completely as the Eames Lounge Chair and Ottoman (model 670/671). Introduced in 1956 by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller, the chair quickly became the benchmark for modern luxury—combining innovative molded plywood construction with the comfort and warmth of a traditional club chair.

This particular example is a Third-generation production from the 1970’s featuring one of the most desirable and increasingly scarce materials ever used on the chair: Brazilian rosewood.

This pair of Scissor chairs, designed by Pierre Jeanneret in 1948 for Knoll Model 92, embodies authenticity and spectacle. With its striking angular profile and refined simplicity, the design is a testament to the sculptural elegance of post-war modernism. The solid wood frames retain their history and character through gentle refinishing and preserved patina. Meanwhile, the cushions have been restored with new foam and moss-green leather upholstery, creating a beautiful contrast with the light wood frames and a sophisticated aesthetic.
