Had so much fun shopping at one of the largest flea markets in Europe…U Elektra market on the outskirts of Prague. Got up bright and early and perused lots of stalls…from vintage Mid century lighting, Czech glass and art to one surprising find. I knew I’d find some treasures in this Bohemian city but did not expect this…👀 the end…they drove a van all the way from London to Prague full of treasures to sell at the Prague market. Why!? I asked. They were visiting family at the same time. Lucky me!! ☺️

Had so much fun antiquing and vintage treasure hunting in Madrid. The El Rastro area is full of fabulous shops and on Sundays is home to their famous flea market. Absolutely huge and full of everything. Loved walking the narrow cobblestone streets, discovering fabulous little shops, meeting shop owners, finding treasures. Enjoyed taking a break in between at a little cafe before I was off again…will share my finds soon. 💗

💗💗💗 This floor to ceiling tiled kitchen from the 18th Century, people, fish and cats…so much fun!! Couldn’t get enough. Light, color and just enough whimsy. 😍 The decorative Arts Museum in Madrid.

Amazing discovery in the center of Madrid…walking along an un presuming street…I look up…wow! Art Nouveau to the max!! Beautiful flowing ironwork and plaster facade with flowers galore! In love 😍 One of the best I’ve seen just when I thought there was nothing to compare to the in Barcelona! Palace Longria…built 1902-04 by Catalan architect, Jose Crases Riera as a family residence. I was dying to get inside but alas not open to the public. A true gem in the center of Madrid. Now I 💗this city even more! 💗🌸👀❣️

Merida…ancient Roman town…on the border of Spain and Portugal. Roman ruins over 2000 years old coexist with architecture through the centuries. Between blue skies and sunshine to clouds, rain and rainbows. Found beauty in it all.

One of my favorite stops in Prague was the Cubista museum. Highlighting a very short lived art movement from 1912-1914. The Cubist furniture was the total opposite of my beloved art Nouveau but beautiful in its own way. Not sure about comfort but loved the creativity anyway. The historic cafe in the second floor is a must too!! Had to end this excursion with the ‘Cubist’ cake!
