Hi friends! It’s been awhile since I’ve been on here, but I’m still doing things. Life be life-ing, right? But making can-dles will always be therapeutic for me, so timing is important. Aaand, I had some time before the end of the year. I did a very small-batch-collab with bc they are rad, the food is delicious, and they have Palestine Cola in stock! 🇵🇸
These Palestine Cola can-dles are upcycled, made from soy wax (a renewable, cleaner-burning, and longer-lasting alternative to paraffin wax. It’s made from soybeans, is biodegradable, and releases significantly less soot and fewer toxins when burned), have cotton wicks, and are unscented. I also opted for white wax bc we are forever channeling peace and hope! 🕯️
These aren’t for sale, but maybe we can make more in the future and do something cool. 🤙🏼 In the meantime, go support in North Park, San Diego and get everything on the menu. You won’t be disappointed! 🙌🏼

Of course it’s still BEER! 😆 This is x Brut Ale with Sea Salt & Brettanomyces: a 4.8% crisp, golden, slightly tart beer inspired by a traditional German Gose. It has a refreshingly dry finish and super enjoyable! 🥳🥂🤙🏼

If you ever visit the Fermentorium in Point Loma, you’ll see lots of planters that are usual: old chairs, a power wheels car, bathtubs, and this oven. I love all the ! And I love this 8.0% “We Love You, Portland” 3rd Anniversary Edition DIPA with peaches added. 🍺💚🍑
I re-up’d on some delicious “We Love You, San Diego” DIPA cans, as well. So good! 🍻❤️🙌🏼

Good morning, friends! Cheers to the weekend and some cathartic can-dle making! 🙋🏻‍♀️
To help with this journey, I’m drinking a Howler Coffee DIPA from : a radical hop forward Double IPA made with copious amounts of Citra, El Dorado, and Lemondrop hops AND collab’d with to hand-select a bean that complimented the hop profile, which was then roasted to create an in-house cold steep and blended into the finished Double IPA. ☕️+🍺=❤️
It’s delicious! 🙌🏼 And further proof that I can drink this at 9am! We’re reppin’ SB with this one, while I continue my way-less-steps process of drinking and melting things. And howl cute is this can?! (see what I did there?) A shark and a wolf?! 🦈🐺🍻 Cheers-ing! I love it. FYI: next full moon is Jan 28th and it’s called the “Full Wolf Moon” 🌕🔋🕯🤙🏼

Good morning, San Diego! ⛅️ We Love You and this 8% DIPA loaded with Vic Secret, Citra & Mosiac. It’s “insanely tropical, exploding with notes of mango, pineapple, & passionfruit, underscored by citrus & pine.” Really tasty and solid can art, for America’s Finest City. What’s your favorite part? 🎨 (I don’t hate the teddy bear shooting out of the cannon!)
These can-dles were a fave, for sure. And the beer is still available through ’s website in their Hazy Mix Pack! Check it out! 🤙🏼

This “Seasick Crocodile” is super festive and super delicious. (Is the song stuck in your head now? ) — Sour Ale with Cranberries, Ginger, Cinnamon, and Nutmeg. Can I pour whiskey in this? 🥃 Well, I poured wax into the empties, and think Gus will be happy enough...🐶

This Notorious RBG can is an all time favorite. So dope! All the beer can-dles I make are 100% soy wax and unscented. Unscented is just easier bc the focus is on the can art vs. a scent that may not be your steez.
We all have our own favorite scented candles in our designated candle drawers, so these can-dles just add to the ambiance, and become works of art to display.
Unscented is also great for all my witches out there, those who have allergies or are sensitive to strong smells, or those with animals with sensitive noses. 🔮🤧🐽🤙🏼

Born from my love of craft beer, art, and design (and being on quarantine lockdown), these can-dles get a second life. We all have favorite beers and breweries, and they have the awesome can art to match! Whether it’s a collab, playing on nostalgia, or just a really dope design, I think this a super cool way to upcycle and preserve these cans for a little longer. ♻️

Hi, friends! It’s Maria! I made a page just for the can-dles. Who knows what it’ll evolve into: a place more fun projects, or strictly cans, but nevertheless, here it is!
