With all the much-needed rain the past few days, comes roof leaks!

Our Personal Services’ division comes in handy for our clients who work long hours.

We contacted Prime Seamless Gutters & Roofing, set up the appointment, and met them at the client’s house.

Locating the leak using a drone sure makes it a quick process and cuts our time which then makes our client happy!

This relocation move was the hardest for us on many levels. A long-time senior client of ours had decided it was time to pare down and relocate to be closer to family.

As we do with any of our moves, we declutter as our first step. The home is over 6000 ft.² so we took our time per our clients’s direction to do this process over several weeks as to not overwhelm them. During this process the husband passes away in his sleep. His wife was diagnosed with Parkinson’s about a year ago. Then add a move then add a new city, a lot for anybody.

SIO will miss this house because we worked here for so many years and with this lovely couple. The move was very heavy, but my client is now settled in and will begin her grieving because as she put it, there was no time during the move. One of the strongest ladies I’ve ever met.

I’m so happy we were able to help her in so many ways. Complete coordination for this move, like 100% of this move. But well worth it for such a wonderful lady.

Quick trip to Austin to take measurements of cabinets and closets and other areas of a new apartment for a client of ours from San Antonio. Then a stop at Skip Jack Oyster’s for a fabulous lunch!

Oh, what treasures we find! We recently worked with one of our regular clients organizing her garage and came across a large bin that contained her 1950s something Fiesta Queen gown. We can’t say the year because it gives away our clients identity which we always protect. The stories behind this dress……Oh my!

Today was a very hard day for our Sort It Out team. We’ve been working with a senior couple for several years now, they decided a few months ago to downsize.

We have been working with them for the last month decluttering and pairing down before packing. Our work is spread across several days so that they don’t feel overwhelmed mentally and emotionally with so many decisions on what to keep, donate or give to family members. Losing a client is never easy, especially in the middle of starting a new chapter. But work must go on and so with heavy hearts we helped our client through a difficult time.

Dog day afternoon for Sort It Out! We took Lilly to the vet for annual vaccines and a nice long walk with Mia and Cuddles. 🐶

✨ And just like that… we’re celebrating 15 YEARS of Sort It Out! ✨

This has by far been the most rewarding career of my life — it really has. We have been very fortunate that Sort It Out has grown each year, and our success still overwhelms me. Personally, I believe much of that success comes from our private and confidential policies that have been in place since day one.

There were times when we were booking 7–8 weeks out, with people actually waiting for our services. Many days, we even had 2–3 teams working at the same time!
Now it’s time to change things up a bit. Over the last year, we’ve slowly been transitioning into more Personal Services. It’s not as labor-intensive (or back-breaking) as hands-on organizing, but it’s just as busy — if not busier.

I cannot thank all the women who have worked with SIO over the years enough. And I can never thank or repay Sarah Cuellar for sticking with me for the past 12 years. We met at The Container Store while she was working as a cashier. Sarah is Sort It Out!

Thank you also to all of our amazing clients over the years — from teachers to CEOs, professional ball players, high-profile attorneys, celebrities, the who’s who of San Antonio, and of course, our most important clients… our busy moms!

Many of you have been with us for years, calling us for every move, new addition to the family, when elderly parents move in (or move on to their next home), during renovations, or just for plain old maintenance. I am so grateful.
