Behind the long weekend, the cookouts, and the extra time with family is a profound history. Today, the focus belongs entirely to the U.S. military service members who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
Memorial Day isn’t about performative patriotism. It’s a quiet, sincere day of gratitude meant for remembering real people, real families, and the ultimate costs that allow us to live in freedom and community today.
Having worked closely with the military community at USAA, and with family & friends who have served and are currently serving in the Air Force, these values of legacy and sacrifice run incredibly deep for us. But today is not about those who served—it is about honoring those who never made it home.
We are intentionally making room for quiet reflection today, and we hope you’ll join us. 🇺🇸
At 3:00 p.m. local time, please consider pausing for one minute of silence for the National Moment of Remembrance.
