You guys kidding meeeee?! The actual love affair I have with Burl is clinical because omg I want only Burl wood in my house now lol I thought this would be a quick and easy flip but that finish was harder than I thought it would be to strip off! But she truly is gorg and I’m so thankful I didn’t give up on her!
Products used:
sander
chemical stripper
chemical stripper and after wash
for supplies

stain and sealant

Let’s prep this $50 antique Burl server I got off of marketplace! Dude this thing was in suchhhh good condition for its age basically was just the finish that needed work!! Freakin crazy! Buttttt bc it’s me.. obvi there will be issues right lol mostly just the finish was super hard to completely strip away, thus I got frustrated, cut to >> soda blasting lol but she’s all ready for the finish now I’m so stoked! What do you guys think worth the extra effort ?!

What's my favorite way to strip furniture?!
Soda blasting is without question my favorite way of stripping furniture it takes no time at all and removes every bit of the finish! You just go over the area with 220 grit sandpaper when done ! So this piece needed a lot of repair work so now that we finally have everything done she's ready for paint!!
Can you guess what color we are painting her !?
