Did a wainscoting panel in a laundry room this week. Birch plywood, maple styles and rails. Baseboard to match what was already there. Painted it ahead of time so the install only took about an hour. Changes the room quite a bit and Jeannette was very happy with it!

Crochet hook sets! I have been making them for a while, but have been slacking on posting photos. Any color I can make a pen out of I can make a crochet handle out of. So many options, but these are acrylester. The depth of colors is crazy on them!

Transit van is coming along! After working out it for a week I can day that I'm stoked about the material supports both for transport and while working. Nice to have the bench clear while I'm cutting parts!
The miter saw has dust collection hooked up to a foot switch so I can turn the vac on while cutting.
I am very happy so far, and still working on it!

Van racking and build out updates. Verticals were all cut to match a template I made, shelf pin holes all got drilled and parts came together beautifully for the integrated material shelves. Floor space is at a premium in here, so what can go up off the floor should. All the shelves have cut outs for systainer feet so they wont slide around at all. It has been a ton of work, along with all my other work, and it has been an exhausting couple weeks. Totally worth it though. Trigger is happy hanging out in the shop and the transit. Yes, I am quite fancy.

The van build has begun!
First, had the inverters, battery and battery isolation switch installed. Thank you Scott Thornsburg.
Then, started cutting parts on the cnc for integrated storage racks. Cut a template for the vertical panels. Then after edgebanding the panels, used a router to cut the panels to the template. Lots of shelf pin holes for adjustable shelves later... it is coming together!

Well, we did a thing. Upgraded the install van! The old van has 290k miles on her and it was time. This ones a 2019 and there is so much room! Ecoboost motor, dually rear end and now I won't have to tow a trailer everyday! Now, to build racks and cabinets for it.

Neighbor had a countertop that just wasn't pretty. I fixed that. Now he has a beautiful Acasia wood top. Cut it, domino'...

Neighbor had a countertop that just wasn't pretty. I fixed that. Now he has a beautiful Acasia wood top. Cut it, domino'd it and glued it up. couple of Dutchmans will stop the wood from cracking further as it dries. All routered and smooth now and it looks fantastic!

I think this is a candidate we can all agree on! Bring back that loving feeling. 2020.

On our last trip to Tennessee we visited a Mennonite community and got to tour a Mennonite woodshop. I was able to purchase a few pieces of wood from him and one piece he dug out of his own scrap stash was a piece of red oak burl. I got it home, cut it up and stabilized it in Cactus Juice and then turned these beauties! Now to send Timothy the Mennonite woodworker a couple pens!

Sometimes wall art should be aggressively American. This is one of those times. Pistol shells back-lit with red LEDs. Another one not back lit, and a American Flag pen I turned. It turned out well.... heh.
