Last Season on The Catered Garden…

We helped our client by redesigning the fence for security and safety. Shallow trenching the existing fence & adding a new fence line attached to the raised beds. This created a secure line to lessen critter interest, as well as creating a path for maintenance off of the structure.

Once we amended the soil, we worked to build and trim in new 1/2” galvanized hardware cloth around the interior of the entire fence & door.

When that was all squared away & the weather agreed with us, it was time to plant.

This Garden had great success last season!
We hope your Garden does the same for you.

Happy Planning & Happy Planting!

Last Season .me we worked on getting the Garden cleaned up and prepped for the Season ahead of us.

After a brain sesh with our client, we could really see how she wanted her Garden to come together. We designated an area for a Greens Trellis, climbing beans up the outside, while allowing greens to have ample shade inside the structure. We planted plenty of squash and cucumbers along the fence line to climb and stay arranged away from the walking paths. We also left a large area for tomato production.

Once things started to take shape, flowers became part of this year’s arrangement!

Gardens are challenging to keep up with. When they’re ready to grow, get ready to accommodate their whims.

This space is very special and very sweet. We look forward to more time with The Sunday Supper Society!

Happy prep & Happy planting!

FULL FENCE REBUILD PT.2

After Trenching out the Garden, we set the anchors and posts in place and rolled the fence. After that we placed retaining boards on three sides of the fence where the lawn is uneven, holding back any erosion & deferring and critters from burrowing under the fence.

Once the fence was tight, we fastened. Irrigation runs to the Garden from a buried solar timer that is wrapped in PVC and fitted through the Garden wall.

We had to ‘retrofit’ our door to the hillside, and tighten the sweep to keep out any interested party’s.

Building this particular Garden was a real labor of love! We couldn’t be happier with the way it turned out!

There is truly peace found when you can spend some time in your Garden, getting back every ounce that you put into the journey.

Happy Spring!
Happy Gardening!

COMPLETE FENCE REPLACEMENT 2024 Pt.1

Last Season as we were quickly approaching the beginning of May, we completely replaced an existing Vegetable Garden Fence. With ‘DEMO’ help, getting the old fence out went quickly, then started the planning and detail of installation.

After many years of adding material to the ground, the bed level had raised, so trenching for the fence line & planning for walls of retaining boards was necessary.

This Pt.1 shows how the anchors were set into place, shored up & made ready to roll out the fence.

The previous fence had failed with critters. Rodents & Rabbits had found their way through the security & a loss of crops had become too much to handle.

Happy May!

Last Year in May, we helped our clients clear out their flower beds in the front of their home.

The beds had long since been amended, so we dug deep to pull networks of interlaced weeds, roots and rocks. Adding then new material to wake up the nutrients.

Rebuilding the drip line along the back of the bed was extremely helpful as well to the replanting and revitalizing of this beautiful setting.

Happy April Everyone!

Last Season we helped our clients in North Hampton out with a fence install. The existing Garden location was used and re-established measuring 20’x36’.

We brought the fence lineup to 4’ and attached a latching gate.

The Gardening Season has begun in the NH Seacoast!

As last years Season came to a close, we were able to help .me with a project that will help with Flowers for 2024.

We were directed to a space where our client has envisioned a field of Flowers… so we got to work!

After mapping out border, the plot measured 67’x22’x12’. The far end of the field will pinch & the front side closest to the driveway will present great visual depth.

We trimmed the plot & removed the growth, then went at it with the rear tine tiller, before going over it again with the front tine tiller twice to catch & discard any debris.

Excitement awaits!
Let’s see what this Season will bring!
