Sorry but… we had to do it. (Didn’t want to but…) Discovered a completely unopened, sealed in the cellophane wrapper Telefunken vacuum tube in a damaged, crushed box. One of the “grails” of vintage audio tubes… these are used on vintage guitar amplifiers and the like. Since we are going to sell it on eBay, couldn’t in good conscience risk selling a damaged tube. Gotta admit it was kind of rush opening up a literal time capsule from 1961! #1961

Feeling nostalgic. Fifteen years ago we were selling horological items: watches, watch parts, clocks, watchmakers supplies and tooling on eBay. Our clients and our customers were watchmakers! Became real experts on all things watches, both pocket and wrist. The histories, the grades and the provenances are fascinating! We still do a nice watch business… goes hand in hand with our estate and jewelry business. We even broker high end watches!
