My company is born out of necessity, but so are most things. After three lay-offs in five years, each of which piled more stress on us than the prior one, it was time to avoid another. Putting to use 40 years of building experience, seemed like the most appropriate, safe, and wise thing to do. Realizing that not too many people can boast a set of skills that encompasses carpentry, light plumbing,
light electrical, heavy framing, dry-wall, cabinetry, molding, windows, brickwork, tile-work, concrete, and most of all, the ability to create something different out of a vague idea.... the best skill of all! My dream is to become known for tree-houses, but that will take time. In the meantime, I will show up when I say I will, with the tools, and take the same care of you and yours as I would expect you to take of mine. I will work hard, long hours, and provide you with what you asked for, within the budget you stated. If I dont know how to do something, I will find someone who does. I will get the permits, work with the County, retain the subcontractors (if needed), buy the material, clean up my mess (!) and do everything it takes to walk away with the knowledge that you have something new, and I have just earned something too - a repeat customer or referral - the most satisfying goal of any new business owner. I'l earn that, along with your trust. And in doing so, I will know I have done the best that I can.
