*** SOLD***made a great discovery at the goodwill store, finding an item that I was immediately drawn to due to its character and affordability. Upon further investigation, I learned that the piece was not entirely original, as the top was authentic but the base had been added separately. However, the base remains a valuable feature, boasting brass feet. I am in love with the original hardware. I gave this piece a nice neutral color scheme with a rich stain.

This was a random goodwill find that I fell in love with, and hope you will too. After I did some basic (google) research I learned just how old this piece was! This file cabinet dates back to early 20th century. It is an antique arts and crafts oak stacking file cabinet by the Shaw Walker company of Muskegon Michigan.

The company was founded during the final years of the 19th century with a partnership between Mr. Arch W Shaw & Mr. L.C Walker. Similar to the Amberg company, Shaw Walker began as a stationery company with a patented filing system for organizing office papers. The company eventually purchased the Muskegon Cabinet company and produced a wide array of office furniture.

This is obviously just one individual file cabinet but, it is still so cool! I have included some pictures from my limited research. If interested please reach out!
