💭 I’ve been thinking about all you biz owners.

For context, I got thinking about this a while ago when I was watching Britain’s Got Talent videos on YouTube (I’m a sucker for all the ‘Got Talent’ shows bc I just love watching people’s dreams come true!!!)

I re-watched one of my all-time favorite auditions, Paul Potts in 2007- who was the winner that season + has since gone on to have a successful career as an opera singer.

And something he said in the intro struck me. He said that he never really pursued his passion because of a lack of CONFIDENCE…

I was stunned!

He’s an objectively amazing singer (insofar as ‘art’ can be objective).

All the judges knew it, and the audience went WILD for his performance.

And it got me thinking about all the entrepreneurs out there:

🤔 I wonder how many of you are letting that lack of confidence hold you back in your business, specifically on social media, by not showing up as the expert that you are.

🤔 And I wonder how many people out there are less talented than you, but more confident, and are seeing all the success that you could very well have if you just believed in yourself.

Because the worst things in life aren’t failure or embarrassment. The worst thing is regretting that you never tried + wondering what could’ve been. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I know this is all easier said than done, and lawwwddd knows I’m no mindset coach…

So I’ll just leave you with one last thought-

Everyone else sees how talented you are. 👀

You’re the only one who doesn’t see it. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Wanna know a secret? 🤫

My promotional posts usually get lower-than-average engagement.

But I DON’T CARE. 🤷‍♀️

Because that’s not the point of that post!

If I’m seeing higher-than-average profile visits + website clicks, it doesn’t matter if no one left a comment to tell me how much they love the post.

Because likes + comments don’t directly contribute to the money in my pocket 🤑

Does engagement help my profile? Sure.

Does that help me reach more people? Definitely.

But if the GOAL of my post was SALES, then I’m not super concerned with its engagement rate.

I’ll save that for another post.

A REALLY GREAT piece of content may show higher-than-average results on every insight, but that doesn’t always have to be the goal.

I recommend doing this on a desktop or laptop. The browser version of Pinterest has more targeting options than you’ll find on the mobile app, in my experience.
