I created this site to share my love and passion for these vintage and antique finds. One day a few years ago, I was looking at a very old farm side table that I had picked up at a an estate sale in Kansas. I was just in love with not only the shade of blue, but also ho
w it had naturally worn off and exposed the old wood underneath. Then with all the layers of dirt and life all mixed in, it was just "perfect". It is very hard to come across pieces naturally worn like that. I decided to take an old wooden dresser and experiment with the paint, sanding and stain, to recreate that worn look. I was happy with the way it turned out and although it wasn't authentic, it made my heart happy and was pleasing to look at. I started to paint more pieces for the love of seeing the transformation.
