Who and What is Three Legged Lizard?

Kenny ‘Kenco’ Crawford’s family first came to the country in the Mid-1500’s, eventually settling in North Florida in the 1560’s - and he’s literally a descendant of one of the early Blacksmiths in Spanish Florida. He combines Art, Metal Work, Science and a bit of multi-cultured Mysticism to produce some of the finest blade anywhere or when. Using his own Quenching and Tempering Process, in part developed by his Father, Master Jeweler Harold ‘Nookie’ Crawford, Ken produces blades that have softer handles and bodies combined with Grind and Edge areas that test out just below Tool Steel. They don’t break easily and have tremendous impact when swung. Each blade is tested by impacting on various woods from Maple to Iron Wood, depending on the blade style, before it’s ever polished or has a handle placed upon it. Handles are secured with pins and Carbon Fiber Epoxy (like that used in bullet resistant armor) and are all made of a variety of exotic or locally harvested hardwoods...hardwoods Ken often harvests, dries and mills himself. He is also part of WOOJ Survival Tech and Southern Bear Cutlery, but unlike the other business interests he has, THREE LEGGED LIZARD products are start to finish a purely Kenco effort!
