I can never find what I need. Half my tools are in our garage that seems to be a catch all since our inside renovations and part of it is under the stairs. Some in my FIL garage and some in our front bedroom (my current working spacešŸ˜•)

My husband apparently found a money tree somewhere and after 20 years of trying to find ā€œmy spaceā€ to create he has decided to build me a she shed. I think he’s just tired of my ā€œstuffā€ everywhere when I get creative.
I can’t wait to start organizing and moving everything into one space so I can finally find what I need, when I want it!

You know the saying ā€œif you don’t use it, you lose itā€? Well I thought I had lost it with this lovely piece I did for a friend. I have to get better taking b4 and after photos, but this was a dark stained antique. It didn’t have k***s, just a small key.
I had to replace the hinges bc one hinge just broke in two while taking it off and another piece broke on a latch inside the door.
Sanded, two coats of primer and probably three coats of enamel and the stain still bled through the top of one door. With all that paint the other door would not close properly, so I had to remedy that. K***s were added to make sure she could get it open. Many learning curves later and almost 4 months working on it on and off, she was able to pick it up yesterday. I hope she enjoys her new coffee bar.

My page has been severely neglected with little to post (projects). Since 2019 we have had A LOT going on. That was the year I quit volunteering for HOPE thrift where I got most of my old stuff to second chance them. I had to quit because my daughter got married in our back yard and I made all the bouquets, boutineres and everything else to make it the perfect day for her and her new husband. It was a beautiful wedding but a stressful time as planning a big event goes. I also developed a serious hip condition that I have spent the past three years trying to find out what causes my pain.
June wedding; on the same day my youngest graduated high school; outdoor wedding; rain; July 4th diagnosis of throat cancer for my husband; 5 weeks of radiation and then recovery. Then in 2020, my FIL fell and ended up in the hospital right as Covid broke out. Once he was out he moved into our house for three or four months to recover and that is when I took over his health care and found out he had kidney cancer. The next two years were full with his care and just LIFE with Covid 19 still lurking. It was a stressful time for EVERYONE! In the midst of it I broke my wrist in three places and had emergency surgery and stayed in the hospital two days. We flipped the house across the street from us; renovated our basement apartment; bought the house next door (haven’t flipped it yet); my FIL passed away; we totally renovated our great room and home with hardwood floors; gutted a bathroom and made two out of it and getting ready to do the two bedrooms upstairs. I’ve fallen down the stairs, up the stairs over planters and off ladders. After painting about 1800sq ft of our house, walls doors, trim and so much more I have developed chronic back pain and had little luck finding out what is causing the pain. Now my husband has decided to build a garage with a full blown craft/sewing/painting/upholstering area to get all my ā€œstuffā€ in one place and out of the house. I am so excited to get my She-rage (she shed+garage) finished so I can move in. With ALL that being said, I hope to be able to finish some unfinished projects and start the new ones that have been mulling around in my head. So much more to come and hope someone will like them as much as I like doing them.

This year has been especially challenging; not just because of Covid-19, but because of two family members with illnesses that required me to care or them on and off during surgeries and recovery. But in addition to that, We purchased a house to flip which turned into a snowball renovation! These are just some of the photos I have of the project. Unfortunately, I did not take many before photos, but it is turning out beautifully.

It's hard to tell because the lighting is so bad, but I've covered the bottoms of my kitchen chairs. You can see b4 and after. My question is...should I paint them white to match the the new extra chairs I thrifted and painted white (in the background of one picture) any thoughts?
