Daniel House Club

Daniel House Club The Daniel House Club is a platform design to help streamline the home design industry by bringing t Then we thought we can make this better.

After operating our own interior design firm for five years we realized one thing: it's tough work! There are a million moving parts to manage and it's nearly impossible to make a profit. So, we built The Daniel House Club! It's not a platform designed to revolutionize the industry, rather to streamline it. We support consumers by connecting them with high-quality unique goods, and connecting them

with designers so they can complete the perfect project. We support designers by connecting them with clients and offering everything they need to complete a job in one spot. Now they can focus on what they love to do, and actually make a living.

If you caught Peter’s last home tour, you already know he was mid-move. Well, he’s officially settled (with a little persuading from Kevin) and today we’re touring the new house with Peter and Wallace the pug. 🐾 It’s a colonial revival, but the architects clearly weren’t precious about the rules.

Part 1 of the home tour is live. Link in our bio. 👉

Happy Independence Day! 🇺🇸

To celebrate, we’re taking a peek inside a few of our favorite historic homes.

If you think early American design was all muted neutrals and stuffy rooms, think again. The late 18th century was actually bursting with vibrant color! It’s no wonder the Colonial and Federal styles still have such a massive influence on American homes today. They knew how to make big gestures!

1. The Alcove Bed at Jefferson’s Monticello

Space-saving, cozy, and way ahead of its time - Jefferson loved alcove beds and added more than one during his many revisions to his house.

👉🏻 Swipe through to see more of these incredible spaces.

2. The Entry Hall at Monticello

Thomas Jefferson loved to show off his collection of maps and artifacts here—essentially the ultimate 18th-century conversation starter. When Lewis & Clark sent artifacts from their discovery of the West in the early 19th Century, those took center stage.

3. The Dining Room at Washington’s Mount Vernon

That striking, bright green wall color was the ultimate status symbol of its day - it was laborious to produce and had to be glazed to keep from fading.

4. The Front Parlour at Mount Vernon

A beautifully balanced room made for entertaining and catching up on the daily gossip. The vibrant blue damask on the settee is historically accurate. The Washingtons bought nearly all their furniture from London and kept detailed records of their purchases.

5. The Drawing Room at Madison’s Montpelier

Refined, welcoming, and flooded with gorgeous natural light. Not even the Madison’s had all new furnishings - their Louis XVI chairs are believed to have previously belonged to George Washington. Let your clients know, antiques have always been chic.

🏛️ Have you ever had the chance to work on a historic American house? Or even just an old house? Whether it was a full restoration or just matching a historic paint color, we’d love to hear your stories in the comments!

Hard to believe it was already months ago but this was one of our favorite takes from Craig Gritzen curatedstylecollective and Rachel McClelland Rachel McClelland at High Point Market.
