Hi Seabees,
The MCB-10 Reunion Committee is listening to your faithful Seabee feedback. As a result we are scheduling a four day Traditional Reunion, followed by an Alaska Cruise.
The 2020 Seabee Reunion sounds like a long way off. Not so for those of us on the reunion committee and for you doing your 2020 vacation planning.
At the 2020 Seabee Reunion, you will have a unique opportunity for an Alaska cruise following the gathering in Portland (see Mt St Helens and the Pacific Ocean coast).
This reunion will be on land, staying in a hotel and riding a bus to points of interest. Sept 8-11th, 2020
Tues: Travel & Arrive at Hotel #1 in Portland (meet & greet)
Wed: Bus Tour to Mt St Helens visitor center, with lunch along the way, and arriving at Hotel #2 in Astoria, Or. at the mouth of the Columbia River.
Thurs: Bus Tour to Ft Clatsop, the last stop for Lewis & Clark, and tour the Oregon coast, lunch along the way & hope for the best sunset ever.
Return to Hotel #2.
Friday: Bus back to Portland to Hotel #1. Free time or activity TBD.
Friday Dinner
Sat: Depart for home. (or the Alaska Cruise, departing from Seattle, see details below)
Notes:
Your Aprox cost for the 2020 Seabee Reunion, as described above, in the Portland / Oregon Coast area is $1000 – $1200 , plus $200 for charter bus (costs are per couple).
The Bus fees to be paid in advance, before November at $200 per couple (25 persons max). The cost of activities, food & lodging we will not collect, it is on you, $1000 - $1300 per couple,
airfare is extra.
The lodging rates have not been posted, as it’s too early. We will make arrangements for 2 hotels, one in Portland & one is Astoria, expecting the price to be about $130 per couple per night, less if you have AARP or AAA.
We need to hear from each one of you Seabees asap. Let us know your thoughts .......
Thanks
