Our Story

Generations of Pittsburghers have enjoyed the experience of shopping in the Strip District, where the most wonderful and unique selections of every sort are made available. Enriching the complexity of this area’s full history is Mahla & Co. Antiques, located at 17th and Smallman streets.

The doors opened in 1995 to 10,000 square feet of beautifully transformed warehouse space that was once the Society for Improvement of the Poor. Interior-decor ideas abound as you wander through the loft-like space of the large showroom with its massive support pillars and high ceilings. More intimate settings and cased items are offered in the second showroom, as well as amazing curio pieces, lighting, and “Mad Men”–era nostalgia. Everything offered at Mahla & Co. is in placement-ready condition.
