Hello from Pgh Worsh Co!
It's June - can you believe it! I did a market over the weekend (and for those of you here in Pittsburgh isn't this weather divine?!?) and a gentleman walked over to me and said "Oh I bet you sell to a lot of women" and he was shocked when I told him I sell a TON of my products to men! I decided with Father's Day right around the corner it would be the perfect time to highlight some of my favorite products for the favorite guy in your life.
(Spoiler Alert: I sell a lot of these same products to women as well which just goes to show you how versatile bath and body products truly are!)
It also got me thinking that graduation party season is also upon us! Any of our cold process bar soap makes a lovely little add on to gift certificates/cash that you'll be taking along to grad parties this summer as well! You know "Everybody needs soap!"
Dads and Grads top gift alert! This set includes our famous "Slippy" shave soap puck, a stainless steel bowl and an Omega brand shave brush from Italy. It's a perfect starter kit for someone wanting a luxury shave experience. Want to see this soap in action? Head over to our Instagram page - my handsome assistant is at the top of the page putting this soap to the test.
In the year 1869 Pittsburgh held its first ever St. Patrick's Day parade. Relatively small in its roots compared to the now 200,000-300,000 people in attendance today, making it one of the largest events in the United States. We celebrate our families own Irish heritage with this cold processed soap made with Irish Stout and Sea Moss. It's got some ground colloidal oats for gentle exfoliation as well. One of our top sellers!
Makers We Love
One of the best parts about being a small business owner is connecting with other small business owners! I have been honored to work alongside with people at different organizations in town, as well as set up side by side at different markets and events. I've met some great friends, people who can lift you up when you're feeling down, bounce ideas off of when you feel stuck, or even spend time with outside of work (yesterday I went on a hike with two small business friends and we didn't even talk about work - just a lot about poison ivy and ticks!). I can't keep all these amazing small business friends to myself though, I need to share them with you! They are out there rocking it, and I want you to know about them too.
This month I want to introduce you to Erin of Grace Note Gallery. Since 2019 Erin has been creating pure joy and nostalgia out of things that would otherwise be discarded: think, old hymnals, tea cups, and books, turned into beautiful and thoughtful gifts. Some of my personal favorites are their creations out of old scrabble tiles! I couldn't have picked a better person to highlight since this month is all about the Dads and Grads. We totally think one of Grace Note's scrabble gifts alongside an 1869 Irish Soap and a board game (or scratch off lottery tickets), maybe even a six pack of a favorite drink - would make a great gift! Erin also can do special orders so think about reaching out for something special and one of a kind!
Thanks for being the very best Yinzer supporter to our small business, and others like us. We wouldn't be here without you!
