Hey everyone, I run LeCroy’s Diesel Repair, a mobile mechanic business for heavy equipment and agricultural vehicles. I’m currently looking to expand into a shop so I can take on more 18-wheeler and large-equipment work.

We want to give you a heads-up about some upcoming changes in the parts supply chain that may affect our repairs.
Recent changes to U.S. import regulations are creating significant disruptions for the international shipping and logistics industry. Our parts dealers, who source specialized parts from overseas for us, are currently navigating this complex situation. While we haven't seen a major impact on our day-to-day operations yet, we have been advised that we should anticipate some changes.
Based on what we are hearing, we expect that:
* We may see delays on certain parts that have to be special-ordered from overseas. The reliable shipping channels our dealers use are being impacted, which could extend wait times.
* We may see price increases on a variety of parts. These new import regulations mean that duties and taxes now apply to every single shipment, regardless of its value. Our dealers will likely have to pass these costs down the supply chain.
We believe in being transparent with you so that you can plan accordingly. We are committed to continuing to provide the highest quality repairs, and we will work closely with our suppliers to find solutions and minimize any disruption.
