ReDesign Furniture Company Green and multifuctional furniture made out of 100% recycled OSB wood. Construction debris constitutes about 40% of the total solid waste in the U.S.

This debris ends up in landfills and takes years to dissolve. Oriented Strand Board (OSB) for example, is estimated to take 150,000 years to dissolve completely. We repurpose these materials into quality modern furniture. We source our materials from local construction sites and build locally to reduce the carbon foot print. You will receive a certificate which indicates both the location from whi

ch your furniture is sourced and the location of which is built. Our modular design allows you to transform box units into a storage space, coffee table, entertainment center or desk. You will be empowered with the knowledge of your furniture's past life, and the control of your furniture’s new transformation.

According to Nachi.org, OSB has the below 4 advantages over plywood:

1. OSB is more uniform, so there are fewer soft spots, such as those that can occur in plywood.
2. OSB is less expensive than plywood. To build a typical 2,400-square foot home, OSB may cost $700 less than plywood.
3. OSB is considered by many to be a “green” building material because it can be made from smaller-diameter trees, such as poplars, that are often farmed. Plywood production, by contrast, requires larger-diameter trees from old-growth forests.
4. Plywood has a tendency to delaminate, especially in hot climates.
