Thanks to Joseph J. Minarik for posting this reminder. It has touched too many people I know and love.

Someone once said if you take care of someone with dementia you lose them more and more everyday. When they get the diagnosis, when they go through different stages, when they need treatment and when they pass away. This is called "ambiguous loss".
As the brain slowly dies, they change physically and eventually forget who their loved ones are. They could end up lying in bed, not moving and not eating or drinking.
There will be people who will scroll past this post because Dementia has not touched them. They may not know what it's like to have a loved one who has battled or is still battling dementia.
To raise awareness of this cruel disease, I would like my friends to put this on their page today. Hold your finger on the post to copy and paste to your timeline.
A special thank you to anyone willing to put this on their timeline for Alzheimer Awareness Week!

I could totally picture my father doing something like this.

Grammy-Winning Singer Brandi Charlie is going to sing “America the Beautiful" at Super Bowl LX

“I have like a lot of big feelings about it. Number one, when you’re born and raised in this country, it’s like you use the Super Bowl as a barometer to gauge when something’s huge. So, you’re like, oh my God, this thing is so big. It could be the Super Bowl. You know, it is actually the definition of massive...

That’s not a crystal ball that q***r people get to touch very often. More and more now, but it’s something that’s never lost on me. The other one is that I’m also born and raised in Seattle and that my team is like in the conversation."

People always judge. Whoever you are just pull your big girl pants on and just get on with your life and don’t worry about what other people think put your blinders on and just forge ahead because life is short and you deserve love.

Today marks 49 years since the release of Fleetwood Mac’s hit album ‘Rumours’.

To celebrate, we’re reflecting on singer Stevie Nicks’ status as an LGBTQ+ icon and ally. Speaking to Out in 2014, Nicks shared her thoughts on the band’s gay fans.

"I can't say that I'm so glad that gay people like my music, because I have never looked at gay people as different from any other people," she said. "We are all one consciousness. The fact that anybody loves my music makes me feel very good, because this is what I do. I didn't get married; I don't have kids. I have lots of godchildren, but it is just me and my dogs. And then I have my straight friends and I have my gay friends."

She continued: “The idea of carrying that secret around would have killed me. So I wouldn't have [been in the closet]. If I were gay, the second that I knew, I would have said, 'OK, everybody, this is how it is, and either you still like me or I don't care.'

“I think that if you are gay, you just have to say 'It's great!' And hopefully you will find a great relationship. And hopefully all the straight people will find a relationship. And hopefully all the people like me who don't care about having a relationship will continue to not care and just have a great dog.”

Philly people of Hope has the soup kitchen off of MARKIT Street on 60th. My friend who runs it is nothing short of a hero for serving beautiful food baskets for 60 seniors who are shut in due to the future storm.
