Distress Bandanna has delivered 2,500 high school teen driver safety presentations, reaching 90,000 young drivers, 175,200 service hours.

Distress Bandanna Teen Driver Safety Initiative promotes Teen Driver Safety Awareness through our educational outreach program. Our goal is to impact 100,000 teen drivers! We think we can reach that goal because we have already impacted 75,000 teen drivers!

National Teen Driver Safety Week is a great opportunity to help teens build safe driving habits and understand the dangers of distractions, speeding, and not wearing a seat belt.
Today, Ameren Illinois gave three presentations to young drivers on downed power line vehicle safety, teaching them the critical protocols to follow if they are ever involved in a crash involving downed power lines. These life-saving lessons help prepare young drivers to make smart, safe decisions in emergency situations.

Distress Bandanna attended the DuKane ABATE 40th Annual Toy and Food Run today. All toy and food donations go directly to local charities in DuPage & Kane counties.

Distress Bandanna shared a teen driver safety presentation with students today: speeding may seem harmless, but it can have serious consequences.
Speed limits are there for a reason. The faster you drive, the less time you have to react and the greater the risk for everyone on the road.

Lincoln Land ABATE wrapped up three strong presentations today focused on the Two D’s — Defensive Driving and Distracted Driving. Staying alert, scanning your surroundings, and keeping your eyes up protects everyone on the road, especially those traveling on two wheels.

We had an awesome day at a brand‑new school. Our presentation on sharing the road with riders was full of energy, engagement, and real learning. These students jumped right in, asked great questions, and made safety feel fun. Love seeing new faces get excited about staying alert and looking out for others on the road.

Lincoln Land ABATE wrapped up four safety awareness presentations today, and this high school group brought incredible energy. Students dug into how easily a bike can disappear in a blind spot, why left turns demand extra patience, and the importance of following distance — giving extra space so they have time to react. They asked smart questions, stayed engaged, and proved once again that proactive learning makes safer roads for everyone.
