Yep, another barrister-style bookcase. It may not look like much of a difference in pics, but the orange was toned down & the wood grain pops more. Thanks to my wonderful hubby for installing the legs! What I love the most about these bookcases are the glass doors, plus they are great for storage & displaying so many things.

My client liked this cabinet, but it just wasn’t her style anymore. The entire cabinet was painted in a tan color, and the body given a whitewash. The top was dry-brushed with white for a faux wood look. A great, neutral piece.

Mirror refresh…We bought this painted antique mirror off of fbmp 3-4 years ago for $30. The previous owner had painted it gray and distressed it. I didn’t mind it like that, but I was over the gray, and wanted a change.

Painted in Melange’s Turtledove Taupe and highlighted some of the details with Rub n’Buff Autumn Gold. May do a little more highlighting, and plan on replacing the shelf with something chunkier another day.

This cutie isn’t for sale, it’s going in our hall bathroom, but I absolutely love how versatile Barrister bookcases are. Not only can they be used to hold your books, they can be used to display your favorite collections, shoes, purses, etc.

I added 4” legs to give it some height, and painted the outside in a neutral greige. I have 2 “big sisters” that I’ll be working on next!

Just an announcement, that Della Designs, will no longer be doing commission pieces using the color white. I am more than happy to refer you to other local furniture refinishers in the area, who will be happy to assist you. We will also be taking a temporary break from commissions, as we have too many unfinished projects to complete, along with every day life stuff. We can still set you up on the calendar for the upcoming months. We appreciate your patience!

Gothic vibes….if you were a teen in the 90’s, you know what I’m talking about. Jacobean style buffet painted in black, drawers stained in antique walnut, and top given a faux leather look. Drawers lined in removable paper. Beautiful, original hardware.
