Hello Everyone! Well, sometimes plans just have to change. Due to the ongoing construction and renovation of the Oscoda High School Auditorium, we will have to change venues. Fortunately for us the kind people at Alcona High School have made it possible for us to have our performances there for the second year in a row. Thank you Alcona Area Schools and go Tigers!

This year's performance is titled Best Foot Forward and shows the NEAD student's progress over the last year. The program will consist of 4 works including the Preperation for the Ball from Cinderella, Selections from the ballet Paquita, a Bollywood jazz dance and a contempory/jazz work set to Ravel's masterful Piano Concerto for the Left Hand. We hope to see you at the show!

Hello and Happy Easter! I have another cheerful piece to offer today, though it still needs to be sanded back a bit and seal coated. This 14" square by 28" tall table could be used as a side table, entryway table, hallway table, or even a plant stand. It has one roomy drawer for storage.

Colors used are two different blues with grayish undertones, mustard yellow, pale yellow and cream for the roses and touches of gold. If you are interested in this piece, please let me know. 🙂

Happy Spring everyone! I finished this beautiful planter just in time for Easter or to make your own Spring/Summer displays. I got this as a raw wood planter and instead of trying to make it perfect, just worked with all its dings, dents and imperfections.

I started by priming and then painting it with a daisy yellow to white ombre. I then stamped with a damask pattern in mustard yellow, then added another raised damask layer in white. I think the combo is stunning. And, in case you didn't know, this damask pattern dates from the year 300BC in China and then was later perfected in Damascus, Syria, from which it gets it's name. 2300+ year history and still one of the most elegant patterns in existence! The pattern elevates even the most ordinary of objects. 🫠😎

The planter will be available at The Tea Corner Emporium today after 1pm! Imagine how beautiful this would look with your Spring and Summer flowers, assorted greenery or anything purple or violet 💜. Let your imagination go wild! Scott 🙂

Hello everyone! It's been awhile, but have many projects lined up to go. My newest piece is for all you wine lovers out there. This is a large wooden tray that had been painted a bright glossy red. Colors I've used are buttercream, ivy, pine cone and wine with toyches of gold. I added texture and gave it an old world look, finally finding the right size item to add on the Anatomy Of A Wine Bottle transfer I've been wanting to use for awhile. And while the inside design is fun, I also added a design on the back allowing you the choice to display either side if you might want to leave it out for display.

Thus is available, starting today, at The Tea Corner Emporium in Oscoda, soon to be officially renamed Bimble & Be. Same great teas, tasty goodies, clothing, homegoods, art, and most importantly, owner 😀, just a new name! They are open Monday-Saturday, 10-6pm. Cheers! 🍷🍷

What's up? Chicken butt! 🤣🤣🤣 My latest, and possibly my greatest piece of "art" so far.🤔 Well, I love him anyway. I've had him around for awhile and was not quite sure what to do. It was painted several ways but nothing seemed to work. I ended up cutting out and decoupaging a William-Morris design onto him and of course, even though, yes I know he's a dude, have him laying a golden egg. Both dreamy 🫠 and hilarious 😂 if you ask me. If you're interested in this bad boy, you'll find him at The Tea Corner Emporium in Oscoda. They are open 10-6pm, Monday-Saturday. Funny comments are welcome! 🙂

Hello everyone! New piece out today...the perfect gift for anyone who enjoys Mardi Gras, Carnival, harlequin patterns, pineapples, or just color and bling!

This is a hand carved wooden pineapple that was originally painted - kinda cheesily - and just needed an update. (Maybe you think this is painted cheesily too, but oh well, I tried!) The pineapple is considered the gift of hospitality, warmth, friendship and welcome and it would look beautiful in any place where light will catch it's sparkle.

Hello everyone! For my latest project, I updated this very sturdy planter. When I got it, it was just raw wood. I've added some beautiful clay moulds that are on all sides. Colors used are light grey, rust, burlap, pinks, red, greens and a buttercream wash. Also some hints of gold. Will be available at The Tea Corner Emporium tomorrow after noon. Would make a perfect gift for someone special!

Hello everyone! Hard to believe we're one month into the new year. Just created this new heart storage box ready for your Valentines Day decor or for any time of year. Colors used are rustic reds (brown undertones) mixed with pinks, green, copper and gold. Available at The Tea Corner Emporium in Oscoda open Monday-Saturday 10-6pm (unless otherwise posted).
